The wood-shingled cottage (Cape Cod or Key West style) is hidden from the street by a high fence and is set behind two verdant patio gardens and a separate front building. The front building consists of the garage with laundry, and a room suitable for a studio, guest room, second bedroom, or office.

Nestled between pine and redwood trees, the house is open to nature and perfect for indoor/outdoor living with its front and back sets of French doors leading directly to the middle brick patio garden and to the back deck. The trees and sky are visible from the numerous skylights throughout the house.

The living room is airy, like a small loft with its open beamed peak roof, and has hardwood floors and a gas started wood-burning fireplace. The bedroom opens off the living room and shares the view of the fireplace through its French doors. There is an additional furnished sitting room or office, in a separate building off the detached garage.

The tiled kitchen opens onto the back deck. It has a gas stove, small dishwasher, and a disposal. The bathroom, which also opens onto the deck, has a claw foot tub and tile floor.

Bougainvillea, calla lilies, clematis, and other flowering plants and bushes landscape the brick patios and deck and are watered by automatic sprinklers. The washer and dryer are in the one car garage.

In addition to the garage, street parking is easy. A few blocks away from 280, it is a quick drive downtown, or a short 20 minutes BART trip. Tower Market is up the hill, and the village is down the hill, with the superb Chenery Park Restaurant and the popular Canyon Market.

Pets will be considered. Partial or full furnishing is negotiable.
