Property DescriptionLocation, location, location! This property is only 3 blocks from the Ballston Metro and surrounded by a number of urban village amenities that are within walking/biking distance or a short drive, including the Ballston Quarter, Quincy Park, Arlington Central Library, GMU Law School, the VA Square Metro (.8M), A58 bus to Farragut West (1 block), W&OD Trail, Clarenford Station Park (perfect for tots) the Washington-Liberty high school (with its pool and track), as well as grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops. As for the house itself, it is a stunning craftsman home that was totally rebuilt and renovated in 2016. This custom-built 4/5-bedroom, 3.5 bath gem, which was designed by noted architect Charles Moore, features quality finishes throughout and hardwood floors on the main and upper levels. On the main level, there is a rare primary bedroom with ensuite and walk-in closet, a galley kitchen (with several new appliances) and a connected alcove breakfast area, a family/living room, an adjacent study, and a guest bathroom. The upper-level features two spacious bedrooms and a full bath. The finished lower level has two additional rooms (either of which could be used as a bedroom, home office or gym), a laundry room, and a full bathroom. There is space for three cars on the long driveway, which extends to the convenient side entrance. The icing on the cake is the beautifully landscaped and low-maintenance outdoor oasis, with the mostly fenced-in backyard featuring a large patio, a pizza oven and a storage shed. The finished square footage (above grade) is 2,166 SF, with 3,118 total SF. The house is currently unfurnished, making it an ideal option for parties looking for transitional space in connection with a relocation or renovation of their own properties. The owners prefer a full-year rental but will consider shorter rentals.
