The flat is excellent for families. It is on the ground floor, faces a lovely street and has the feel of a private house.

This apartment is a really great place to be for a year in Boston. It is very well set up for tenants to move in and get on with life with a minimum of hassle. Newton is a friendly, peaceful, easy-going neighbourhood with great schools and amenities, including a soccer field and free tennis courts on the next block. Access to central Boston is easy by T (suburban railway), so you have the benefits of being close to the city while living in a small town. Most importantly, Karen and Aaron are wonderful landlords. They are kind and considerate and will go out of their way to make their tenants stay a happy one. Any issues with the apartment were fixed very quickly. They are very easy to deal with and keen to offer help in settling in as well as sourcing nice to haves such as play equipment for children. Our children have loved spending time with them and walking Scout and we will all miss them when we leave!

1) Location was great; 2) Not too much traffic, yet perfectly connected with central streets; 3) Karen and Aaron were very, very nice people; 4) The apartment was super-functional. It was spacious, and the only catch was that it has only one bathroom, but it didnt affect us.

(We met them in 2005 and just visited them for the second time. Wonderful family).

Bowen school is really great, and free. I used to take my daughters there every morning. Its 2 minutes drive, or 10 minutes walk.

They have a program called ELL, namely English as a Learning Language, to help kids whose first language at home is not English...Our kids were comfortable with English after 1 month.

Comfortable, large, lower flat in two-family house. Three bedrooms*, one bathroom, dining room, large living room, den/office. Wall to wall carpeting in living room, dining room. Excellent beds. Semi-finished basement room with T.V. and toys. Primarily for tenants use.

Cable and internet ready. Eat-in kitchen with all appliances including new dishwasher and refrigerator. Many cabinets and desk. Pleasant enclosed back yard and garden. Washer, dryer and hot water heater in basement.

We share laundry facilities and back yard.

My husband and I live in the upper flat with our adorable dog, Edie. We are helpful if you want and give you your privacy too.

The flats face different streets and feel like private houses.

Garage, driveway and lots of street parking. (No overnight parking allowed in Newton from November to April.)

House has furniture, towels, linens, and dishes.

NO SMOKING INSIDE OR ON PREMISES. Wish list: tenants own a home somewhere else and are coming on sabbatical. They are conservation-oriented.

*There is a bedroom on either side of the bathroom. One is furnished with an excellent queen-size bed. The other has two twin beds. A third bedroom is next to the living room. It has a twin bed and a futon.

The house can accommodate more than two responsibles and two children, but I think that is the ideal family for the amount of space.
