I received an email from management I was required by “ law “ I had to sign a new lease because now utilities have to be included in rent? So I went in the office Friday 11/21/2025 . When it comes to business I prefer to speak in person. Amanda was trying to explain it to me and I did not understand. So she called Jeremy to come and assist. As he was explaining to me my rent went up considerably. I stated “ why is my rent higher than when I moved in , because if it was going to be this expensive I would have never moved here. In all my life I never heard after moving in rent goes up. Jeremy became agitated grabbed the mouse from the computer and he stated “ here let’s just do it like this” ! He changed the rent to the amount I originally had signed the lease. After he corrected to the original amount, he stormed out of the office angry, and I stated to Amanda “ wow , sorry he got so upset , he is not raise my rent after I moved in”. Jeremy came back in Amanda’s office, and I stated with both of them present “ now what is my amount of rent , they both stated $1234.00. Jeremy stated “ it will be the same amount every month “. So I stated to Amanda, I want to write this down. So I wrote it in a piece of paper. Which is in a post it on my wall. I don’t want any surprises next month and I get told from management, oh we forgot to add this. $1234.00 is it! Very unprofessional, for such behavior. After all , I am paying a lot of money for this apartment. There are thousands of apartments in Colorado Springs, and the business is very competitive. I got charged for pro rate water from I moved in 10/23 to 10/31. Which is fine I used water. Amanda stated I should have not been charged until I have lived here for appx 6 weeks. I stated “ I guess you weren’t the one who prepared my statement “ she said “ no “. I have gotten different information from Amanda and Jeremy, depending on who you speak to. I respect Jeremy and I expect the same in return! This is his job to accommodate the residents not to hassle and be rude.
