In addition, the application requires
* reliable, current contact information (name, email, phone),
* proof of identity (legible driver's license or picture id, and legible social security card),
* employment history (3 most recent pay stubs, or 2 years tax returns for self-employed applicants),
* housing history (including valid phone numbers for all landlords in previous 2 years),
* consent to credit, criminal, and rental history checks, and
* a $47 application fee (paid by tenant to TransUnion SmartMove directly).
No application is considered complete for purposes of SMC 14.08 until owner has physically examined IDs and received all required information from all prospective occupants, including SmartMove results. If owner cannot verify any of the information on the application, tenancy will be denied. While equivalent applications are processed in the ordered received, other factors such as the requested date of the commencement of tenancy may result in priority of another application.
