Welcome to Benny the Bungalow, our thoughtfully renovated Central Austin retreat featuring 7.14kW of solar power, a Tesla EV charger, a fully fenced yard, wired Googl e Fiber, tankless hot water, vaulted ceilings, and custom finishes throughout. We completely renovated this 1977 bungalow in 2018, taking the home down to the studs and rebuilding it with modern comfort, efficiency, and character in mind.

Inside, 862 thoughtfully designed square feet provide two bedrooms, one bathroom, and airy vaulted ceilings that make the home feel open and spacious. We designed the layout to maximize comfort and function while maintaining the charm of a small detached home.
The open-concept living area features durable, pet-friendly luxury vinyl plank flooring and flows into a modern kitchen with GE stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and a gas range.
We placed a strong emphasis on efficiency and comfort during the renovation. A 7.14kW solar panel array helps reduce electrical costs, while a spray-foam insulated crawl space improves energy efficiency. A Nest smart thermostat provides convenient climate control, and a Navien tankless water heater delivers continuous hot water on demand.
Outside, a covered front porch and fully fenced front yard provide plenty of space to relax, entertain, or let pets enjoy the outdoors. Three parking spaces offer convenient off-street parking, and the shared driveway includes a Tesla electric vehicle charger.
We also wired the home for Googl e Fiber, making Benny a great fit for remote work, streaming, gaming, or anyone who values fast and reliable internet. A large locking parcel mailbox provides added convenience for deliveries.
Throughout the home, custom details add function and personality. You'll find a frameless glass shower enclosure, Elfa shelving systems in every closet and the utility area, and Philips Hue recessed lighting capable of producing millions of colors and adjustable lighting scenes.
Practical amenities include an LG stacked washer and electric dryer, gas heating, attic storage, and a refinished metal roof built for long-term durability. The attic provides useful storage for seasonal items and helps keep the living spaces uncluttered.
Benny the Bungalow sits just minutes from IH-35, Downtown Austin, The Domain, and UT Austin, giving you quick access to some of the city's most important employment, entertainment, dining, and shopping destinations.
We've put a lot of care into this home and designed it for someone who wants the convenience of Central Austin without giving up the privacy, personality, and outdoor space of a detached bungalow.
