3447 Primera Avenue

(310) 295-0555- Authentic 1928 Spanish in Lake Hollywood Knolls, where silent film star Harry Langdon pressed his name and his handprint into the wet concrete steps on November 25, 1933, beside a carved beer stein, ten days before Prohibition ended. The signatures are still there. The home sits behind a walled and gated brick courtyard with mature olive trees, and bougainvillea climbs the arched entry to a carved wood door set with stained glass. It's located between the energy of Hollywood and the neighborhood charm of Studio City, and dual-pane windows keep it private and quiet. The upper level is offered for lease. Inside, dark exposed beams run the length of the living room, which has a sculpted corner fireplace and a deep arched bookshelf built into the plaster. A pair of doors opens to the sun room, which has a vaulted ceiling and windows on two walls. It works well as a study, a studio or a place for visiting family, and it has its own door to the private balcony, with the primary bedroom beyond. The dining room has arched openings and built-in niches, and it steps down to a generous kitchen with white cabinetry and quartz counters on terra cotta tile. The level has two bedrooms and two baths in all. The private front courtyard is a great spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails, and a Hollywood Sign trail entrance is at the end of the street. The home includes an attached garage with an automatic garage door opener, and tenants have exclusive use of the lower-level basement with a washer and dryer. Timeless character in the heart of the Hollywood Hills. Some houses have history. This one has it signed and dated. Listing provided by: Black, Charles of Meriwether Brokerage, Inc.
