I live(d) at Leya Apartments and unfortunately had a series of disappointing experiences that I feel other potential renters should be aware of. 1. BBQ Area Restrictions We hosted a small Mother’s Day dinner with around 10 people from two different rental units, using the outdoor BBQ grills and tables provided by the complex. We were respectful—talking, eating, and enjoying the evening—but there was no loud music or disturbance. Around 8:50 PM (not even quiet hours), a security guard came and told us to leave immediately because the manager said we weren’t allowed to sit outside at the tables. His explanation? “No parties” per the lease. Ironically, we were told we could continue inside the clubhouse, which makes no sense. The number of people and the activity were the same—so why is one okay and the other a problem? We pay high rent and lease two units—this treatment felt unfair and arbitrary. 2. Package Theft Problems Multiple packages have gone missing during my time living here. The package delivery area is not secure, and there is no real system in place to prevent theft. Despite several residents complaining, management has done little to address it. At this price point, I expected much better. Pros: • Location is convenient • Units are modern Cons: • Amenity use is restricted without warning • Security is weak—package theft is a real and ongoing issue • Management communicates poorly and inconsistently • You pay for facilities you might not even be allowed to use Bottom line: If you’re looking for a well-managed apartment where you can actually enjoy what you’re paying for—look elsewhere.
