I’m looking for a renter or renters for unfurnished upstairs bedrooms at the end of a cul de sac in Wake Forest. It is available May 1st. Please contact me by email at cncamby@gmail.com. I am unable to answer phone calls or reply to voicemails and have included an old landline in this post to inhibit calls. I am currently working on replacing the carpet and bathroom tile, so the property is not in the order it will be in when I hope to show it.

Do NOT show up to my home without setting up a meeting time with me first. Anyone who arrives at my home uninvited will be automatically denied. This is an issue for to my neighbors and myself.

Location: the house is about 1 mile from downtown historic Wake Forest, Planet Fitness, Harris Teeter, and almost anything you could want. It’s a 5 minute walk from the lovely Caroll Joyner Park and recreation center.

Rooms, costs and amenities : There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom that I am renting, depending on applicants’ interest. I can rent one room to one person with their own private bathroom for $600 per month with the utilities included. I am also open to two renters and would charge $450 per room with two the roommates sharing the upstairs bathroom. One of the bedrooms has three windows and a large walk-in closet. The smaller room has one window, an average closet, and access to a large attic for storage. The kitchen, living room and backyard are shared with me, the owner. Let me know your preferences when you reach out to me. If you are able to pay more than $600 per month that might distinguish you since there have been many inquiries and applications already before I have even been able to show the room. Personality and living style fit is a primary factor as I live in the house as well.

Water and electric bills are already included in the rental costs. I also have a soft water system installed throughout the house. There’s an on-site dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a large backyard with a deck. The common spaces are shared with me, the owner, who lives down stairs. Wifi costs may be split for $35 per month or the renter may get their own service.

About me: I’m a 27-year-old counselor and teacher from Los Angeles, who moved to North Carolina in summer of 2021. I have two cats who are both friendly. I love good wit, food, painting, literature, nature and animals. I value inclusivity and honesty. I live in the downstairs bedroom. I prefer renting to women and/or members of the LGBTQ community since I live in the house, but all applicants are welcome.

House rules:
This is a no-smoking house. I have a very early morning schedule and the most important agreement is that the house is silent by 10pm. Common spaces such as the kitchen, living room, appliances, and backyard must be kept clean of clutter, dishes, and crumbs.
I have two cats, but renters pets under 20lbs are also welcome contingent on 1) a pet interview with me 2) a non-refundable $30 dollar monthly pet rental fee and a one-time refundable $300 pet security deposit that will be deducted if your pet causes any property damage 3) the renter’s consistent exercising of the pet and consistent maintenance of pet waste, including fur.
