Prices are now down 1.6% year-over-year. Read on to learn more about what’s been happening in the Rancho Cucamonga rental market and how it compares to trends throughout the broader Riverside metro area and the nation as a whole.
The median rent in Rancho Cucamonga fell by 0.5% over the course of September, and has now decreased by a total of 1.6% over the past 12 months. Rancho Cucamonga’s rent growth over the past year has has fallen behind the state average (1.3%) and is similar to the national average (-0.8%).
Nine months into the year, rents in Rancho Cucamonga have risen 0.9%. This is a slower rate of growth compared to what the city was experiencing at this point last year: from January to September 2024 rents had increased 2.0%.
If we expand our view to the wider Riverside metro area, the median rent is $1,844 meaning that the median price in Rancho Cucamonga ($2,098) is 13.8% greater than the price across the metro as a whole. Metro-wide annual rent growth stands at -1.2%, above the rate of rent growth within just the city.
