My experience at Filament has been mixed. While the building has a modern appearance, there are several issues that impact overall quality and livability. First, it's surprising that a newly built property lacks an elevator—this feels like a basic feature that should be standard in new developments, especially for accessibility. Small things also reflect a lack of attention: the coffee machine is frequently out of service, and basic maintenance is often overlooked. Inside the units, workmanship seems rushed. Cabinets are misaligned, the floors aren’t level, and there are visible scuffs and damage to walls and doors. I’ve noticed cracked paint, poorly patched ceiling repairs, and dented appliances. Additionally, the surge protector trips when using certain appliances, possibly due to improper outlets. Another issue is communication and follow-through. Residents are supposed to receive a beverage card for free drinks, but I was never given one—and there was no mention of it unless I asked. Filament has potential, but for a new development, the details matter. With better quality control and clearer communication, it could be a much better place to live.
