The median rent in Southfield rose by 0.9% over the course of April, and has now increased by a total of 3.0% over the past 12 months. Southfield’s rent growth over the past year has has outpaced both state (1.8%) and national (-0.3%) averages.
Four months into the year, rents in Southfield have risen 3.4%. This is a similar rate of growth compared to what the city was experiencing at this point last year: from January to April 2024 rents had increased 3.3%.
