Apartment List has released Scottsdale’s results from the third annual Apartment List Renter Satisfaction Survey. This survey, which drew on responses from over 45,000 renters, provides insight on what states and cities must do to meet the needs of 111 million American renters nationwide.
"Scottsdale renters expressed general satisfaction with the city overall," according to Apartment List. "They gave most categories above average scores."

Desert luxury defines Terravita, where this gated North Scottsdale community offers spectacular mountain views throughout the development. Though primarily owner-occupied, rental opportunities occasionally appear in upscale homes featuring desert-adapted landscaping and indoor-outdoor living spaces. The neighborhood includes a championship golf course and extensive trail systems connecting to desert preserves, though the removed location requires driving for most everyday needs beyond the immediate community.
Upscale energy pulses through Scottsdale Fashion Square's luxury boutiques. Converted mid-century apartments retain retro charm but lack soundproofing against Old Town bar crowds until 2AM.
Lake oasis defines McCormick Ranch, where Scottsdale's distinctive planned community surrounds artificial lakes creating unexpected water features in desert environments. The established neighborhood features mature landscaping, extensive walking paths, and golf courses creating resort atmosphere for everyday living. Though rental rates reflect Scottsdale's premium positioning, the combination of exceptional amenities, mature landscaping unlike newer developments with minimal shade, and central positioning between Old Town entertainment and North Scottsdale employment typically justifies the investment for those seeking distinctive Scottsdale living beyond purely trend-focused neighborhoods.
