Apartment List has released Beaverton’s results from the third annual Apartment List Renter Satisfaction Survey. This survey, which drew on responses from over 45,000 renters nationwide, provides insight on what states and cities must do to meet the needs of the country’s 111 million renters.

Culinary diversity shines along Murray Boulevard's Korean BBQ joints and Syrian bakeries. Renters love 1980s courtyard complexes with community gardens but contend with traffic backups at the Scholls Ferry/Cedar Hills intersection during Intel shift changes.
Tech commuters cluster here for quick access to Nike's World Headquarters and the Cedar Hills MAX line. Renters enjoy cedar-scented air from Tualatin Valley forests but note persistent autumn rainstorms flooding basement units. The hidden gem? The Sexton Mountain Dairy's secret ice cream window.
Nike employees discover ideal work-life balance in Five Oaks, where garden apartments and townhomes offer significantly more space than Portland options without sacrificing easy campus access. The neighborhood sits minutes from MAX Blue Line stations, creating car-optional commuting to both Nike headquarters and downtown Portland without traffic stress. Unlike Portland's vintage apartments, these newer buildings typically include in-unit laundry, functioning HVAC systems, and parking – practical amenities that dramatically improve daily living. The nearby Terpenning Recreation Complex provides affordable fitness facilities including swimming and basketball without expensive private gym memberships. When comparing rental options, units on the community's northern edge provide slightly quicker Nike campus access – a distinction worth noting for those with early morning meetings or international calls requiring prompt arrivals.
