Historic elegance defines Downtown Savannah, where the distinctive squares system creates America's most walkable historic district with extraordinary architectural significance. Though primarily vacation rentals, some long-term opportunities exist in historic buildings and carriage houses throughout the landmark district. While the neighborhood offers unmatched access to restaurants, shops, and Forsyth Park, tourism creates seasonal patterns affecting everyday livability with parking challenges for residents without dedicated spaces. Particularly appealing to history enthusiasts and urban professionals who appreciate extraordinary architectural surroundings and don't mind occasional tourist crowds in exchange for living in a national treasure.

Shopping convenience defines this area near Savannah's southside retail district surrounding the mall. Apartment communities typically feature more amenities than downtown options at more accessible rates, including pools, fitness centers, and covered parking. International flavor defines Flagami, where Miami's western neighborhood showcases Hispanic influences through authentic restaurants and markets beyond tourist-oriented interpretations. The district sits strategically positioned between downtown Miami and western suburbs, creating reasonable commutes in multiple directions. Though some commercial corridors show varied investment levels, the genuine affordability compared to rapidly appreciating eastern Miami neighborhoods, reasonable access to both Florida International University and Miami International Airport, and authentic international character creates compelling value for households seeking genuine Miami experiences beyond sanitized developments increasingly dominating trendier districts commanding premium pricing despite offering limited character beyond contemporary aesthetics and minimal reflection of Miami's international heritage creating the city's distinctive character.
