“For noise it really depends on the neighbors but some nights they’ll be loud and I personally won’t say anything but if I have a loud night it’s an instant phone call to management, it’s a nice place and area but the prices are a little ridiculous and if I had more time to find a place to live I probably wouldn’t have chose here for multiple reasons, such as distance from work and price. The management is nice and helpful, the maintenance crew is outstanding. When it comes to actual living I’d avoid the studio apartments purely for the fact of little to no storage and having no way to hang blinds for the big bay windows. If I remember right from my tour the one bedrooms and up didn’t have this problem but I could be wrong. Parking isn’t the best for the high-rise, very limited spots and if you’re Mil and have the potential to work nights it’s a struggle to find a spot when getting home during those later hours especially with a bigger vehicle. Overall it isn’t a bad place but I don’t personally think it’s worth the price point even with the location and places surrounding.”

Welcome to the Apartment List March 2026 Rent Report for Jacksonville, FL. Currently, the overall median rent in the city stands at $1,295, roughly the same as last month. Prices remain down 1.4% year-over-year. Read on to learn more about what’s been happening in the Jacksonville rental market and how it compares to trends throughout the nation as a whole.

Overview of Findings

Apartment List has released Jacksonville’s results from the third annual Apartment List Renter Satisfaction Survey. This survey, which drew on responses from over 45,000 renters nationwide, provides insight on what states and cities must do to meet the needs of the country’s 111 million renters.

"Jacksonville renters expressed general satisfaction with the city overall," according to Apartment List. "However, ratings varied greatly across different categories, indicating that even hough renters love Jacksonville, some aspects can be better."

Key Findings in Jacksonville include the following:

  • Jacksonville renters gave their city a B- overall.
  • The highest-rated categories for Jacksonville were state and local taxes and affordability, which received scores of A+ and A-, respectively.
  • The areas of concern to Jacksonville renters are public transit (C), recreational activities (C), commute time (C+) and pet-friendliness (C+).
  • Jacksonville millennials are unsatisfied with their city, giving it an overall rating of C, while renters who are parents are more satisfied, giving it a B+.
  • Jacksonville earned similar scores to other Florida cities like Tampa (B) and Saint Petersburg (B-), but earned higher marks than Miami (C+) and Orlando (C).
  • Jacksonville did relatively well compared to similar cities nationwide, including Los Angeles (C+), Memphis (C) and Philadelphia (C+).
  • The top rated cities nationwide for renter satisfaction include Scottsdale, AZ, Irvine, CA, Boulder, CO and Ann Arbor, MI. The lowest rated cities include Tallahassee, FL, Stockton, CA, Dayton, OH, Detroit, MI and Newark, NJ.
