This beautiful, custom finished mountain home is located in complete privacy on a large property up Glenwood Drive, just 10 minutes off Highway 17, 7 minutes to Scotts Valley High and 15 minutes to the Kings Village Shopping Center. The home features four bedrooms, additional office/play space in the loft area, and three full bathrooms. Three bedrooms, including the primary bedroom, with an ensuite and walk-in closet, are located downstairs and the fourth bedroom and third bathroom are located upstairs, with the upstairs bedroom being at least 500 sqft alone. The master bedroom additionally features French doors leading out to one of the many decks the home has to offer. The living room, with a wood burning stove, connects seamlessly to the dining area and the open kitchen with its breakfast counter. The kitchen offers stainless steel appliances. Off the kitchen is the laundry room with washer/dryer hook-ups, and utility sink and cabinetry. This home has tons of storage room, as there are lots of closets, large and small, throughout. In addition to the four bedrooms and the loft space, there is a fully finished and enclosed tree house, that can be used as a home office and the garage structure has a second story that can be used for storage as well. There is air-forced heating throughout, a wood burning stove in the living room, the house has an automatic backup generator, so the well will continue to work throughout any power outages. The tenant is responsible for electricity, trash and propane, the landlord pays for water/sewer (well water and septic) and water conditioning are included. There are several options for internet service (see below), but cable TV/Internet is not an option only satellite TV. The home is sitting on three beautiful acres, surrounded by redwood trees. A few steps out the front door is the tree house, next to the house are fenced in, organic garden boxes. The neighborhood is a private community and so are the streets, which make it great for running, biking and walking. Disclaimer: This house is mountain living even though only a short drive from town. There are possibilities of power outages, fallen trees and delays getting to and from the home. Residents need to understand septic systems, generators, and well water systems. Internet access is also a challenge when living in the trees. Verizon wireless Mifi and Starlink are the only two internet providers in the area - both of which are spotty and somewhat unreliable. We approve applicants who have a household income of three times the monthly rent amount (sorry, no cosigners), good credit (625 min. credit score) and positive landlord and/or employer references. Applicants cannot have any record of bankruptcies in the last two years or any previous unlawful detainers. We require a separate application for any resident over the age of 18 who will be living at this residence. We also require any resident under the age of 18 to be identified as well.
