Property DescriptionJust minutes from the ocean and rivers, a short drive to the Space Center and space and defense industry facilities, two international airports and the amenities of Orlando, this home is worthy of consideration by any discerning individual looking for the epitome of luxury Florida living. Arguably the finest home ever designed and constructed by one of Brevard's most elite luxury builders, it was personally crafted for the recently retired CEO of a Fortune 500 Company headquartered in Melbourne Florida. The craftsmanship and detail are unsurpassed; the flow and floorplan flawless; and the amenities stagger the imagination. With over 8,400 square feet of living area and some 12,700 square feet of total structural area, this architectural masterpiece is situated on a double-lot in the prestigious guard-gated luxury community of Wyndham at Duran and overlooks the 15th fairway of the Duran Golf Course. The sense of arrival is not taken lightly as there is both a circular front drive and private gated motor courtyard leading to two garages with spaces for 5 cars and loft storage above. The grounds are lush and manicured with a private putting green and ample room for gatherings and festivities. The structure itself is constructed to impress, with a two-story foyer, circular stair tower, custom-crafted arched custom iron doors, precast moldings and columns and tongue and groove cypress ceilings at the entry and on the back porches and balconies. The façade is adorned with soffit and landscape lighting to accentuate the details and create a glow to the home at evening.
THE ENTRY: The entry foyer is breathtaking. You'll be greeted by oversized etched marble flooring, designer chandelier and a radiused wood staircase wrapping upward to your right. The curved stairs are graced with a custom iron and wood railing and feature a second chandelier (by the way, there is a third chandelier just beyond in the living room and all three are installed on motorized lifts for ease of maintenance). The stair tower is enhanced by windows and vertical stacked split-stone that creates texture elegance. Directly ahead, the living room is graced with a soaring curved wall of glass overlooking the stone patio and porches, the infinity-edge pool and spa and the glass rail that separates the property from the lake and golf course beyond. Additionally, the living room features a stone fireplace rising some 24-feet to a hand-crafted ceiling and molding details and exquisite trim.
WEST WING, PRIMARY BEDROOM AND OFFICE: From the foyer, proceed to the west wing of the home, past the circular stairs and pool bath, where a double-doored entry takes you to the primary suite. The foyer is handsome and oversized and leads to opposing entries. To the left is the main bedroom and to the right is the richly paneled home-office or study. This warm and inviting space features a radiused wall of split-stone with inset television monitor and library paneled walls rising from the floor to the fully paneled ceiling. Additionally, there is built-in cabinetry, bookcases, and window seat file-cabinetry. One can only imagine the care taken to create such a lush environment. Working at home, entertaining friends or clients, or simply enjoying a peaceful respite from the world...this private haven is ideal. To the left of the primary wing entrance is the main bedroom. Warm and welcoming, soft but substantial, this room boasts the richness of wood, a glamourous inset ceiling, motorized shades and draperies and a curved picture-window view of the yard, patio, lake, and course. The primary bathroom and dressing room are divine. Custom-built cabinetry, shelving, dressers, and bench define a dream-worthy walk-in closet. The dressing-mirrored hall takes you to the bath, with elegantly appointed jetted tub, multi-head shower and separate vanities and water closets. There is just too much here to fully describe its stunningly beauty.
KITCHEN, DINING ROOM AND BAR: As you exit the west-wing and step though the foyer, take special note of the beautiful bar and wine area that carry the split-stone and wood theme from the stairs to the gathering place. The dining room is bold and inviting, with wainscoting, chair rail and multi-piece crown molding. This, along with the bar, is the perfect place to begin an evening of dining and entertaining.
The kitchen, in a word, is both functional and beautiful. The island-on-island blends function with pleasure and makes room for not simply the chef but allows room for many to help, gather or simply linger as the meal is prepared and displayed. The cabinetry in kitchen, and throughout the home, was custom designed and built by Melbourne Architectural Millwork, as was the trim and ceiling details. There is a complete suite of professional and cabinet-fronted appliances, including dishwasher(s), icemaker(s), 2 sinks and a hidden-door walk-in pantry. The breakfast bar can easily seat eight and the breakfast room features a floor-to-ceiling butted-glass window that makes you feel as though you are having coffee and danish on the patio next to the pool, while seated indoors.
FAMILY ROOM AND GATHERING: The kitchen opens to the adjacent family room with its stacked-stone fireplace, built-in entertainment cabinetry and 10-foot sliding glass corner sliders that open to the porch and summer-kitchen. The recessed ceiling is a work of art featuring stacked and layered moldings, both stained and accent-painted for contrast. This is just one of many outstanding ceiling details throughout the residence that create the feeling of not just a finely appointed home but of a home well thought-out during its design and construction. There may not be a home anywhere in Viera, Melbourne or the Beaches that is as superbly displayed. Access to the residence from the garage and porches is via a hallway off the family room which leads to the first-floor laundry room that also houses a work desk and home operations center. Also in this area is a guest powder bath and the first of the guest-bedroom suite. There are four guest suites in total, all with walk-in closets, on-suite baths and warmed with the richness of natural wood flooring. Each suite is finely detailed and appointed, with the three on the upper level featuring private balcony access. Two of these capture views overlooking the pool deck, lake, and golf course.
GAME ROOM, THEATRE AND EXERCISE ROOM: Just off the rear hall is a secondary or back staircase which, like the main staircase, ascends in its own window-adorned stair tower flooded with natural light. These stairs are hand-crafted and constructed of rich wood and custom-designed handrail. At the top, guests and residents alike will find the game room and theatre. The rich paneling is carried forth on the walls and ceiling, as is the handsome wood flooring. The upstairs bar is perfectly placed to enhance the space and is accessible from the card/game table alcove, the pool table area, and the private tier-seated theatre. The theatre is a magical venue, with sound-insulated flooring and walls that enhance the viewers' experience with the richness of sound and brilliance of the projected big-screen image. Corner sliding glass doors lead to the cypress-ceiling balcony that looks down on the pool deck, patio, lake, and 15th fairway at Duran. Motorized shades, drapes and the wood ceiling inset make the space incredible. The upper level also offers a wonderful exercise room with mirrored walls and rubber flooring; ideal for a great workout. Rounding out this magnificent second-floor space are three additional guest bedrooms, a secondary laundry, the equipment room for the entertainment and automation devices, plus monitors for the security unit and camera system. A bridge overlook carries across the main foyer with birds' eye views to the front and rear of the home.
PORCH, PATIO, AND POOL: Perhaps the most captivating area in the entire home is the rear porches, patio, and pool. Expansive and alluring, this study in outdoor living fulfills every wish list. The massive corner sliders give way from the family room to the porch that boasts natural marble decking, impressive cypress ceilings, precast stone accented columns and a mesmerizing view. The salt-pool is freeform and large enough for the whole crowd at holidays. It features an illusion edge and spa and is protected by a metal and glass railing system that allows for a 'clear' view from the pool and stone surrounded spa to the lake and fairway beyond. Lofty palms and lush green plants create the tropical environ. The flaming fire bowls and water features set the backdrop for an ideal evening gathering or an afternoon in the sun. The west patio area is highlighted by the stone firepit, perfect for those chilly evenings and an intimate get-together with friends. The summer kitchen is more than just a bar-b-que spot; it hosts a huge bar, TV, grill, and built-in appliances and might be the very best place to unwind in the early evening. Oh, and the putting golf-green is adjacent if friendly competition is part of the fun. Weekends and staycations were never better.

One of the many construction features of note is the 40-foot poured-in-place beam that supports the game room balcony above. This structure was created to eliminate any visual obstruction from family room and porch and makes the view of the lake and golf course seamless.
