Established elegance defines Surrey Hills, where this northwestern Oklahoma City community offers larger homes in a country club setting. Rental properties typically feature generous floor plans, attached garages, and in some cases, golf course views. The neighborhood provides excellent access to both Kilpatrick Turnpike connections and Quail Springs Mall shopping, though the removed location requires longer commutes for those working in downtown Oklahoma City.
Renaissance energy flows through Downtown Oklahoma City, where formerly sleepy streets now feature converted warehouses, new luxury developments, and a surprising array of entertainment options from the Bricktown Canal to the Myriad Gardens. Rental options span from industrial lofts in historic buildings to high-rise apartments with rooftop pools and city views. The evolving district offers increasingly walkable amenities unusual for typically car-dependent Oklahoma cities. Some areas remain works in progress with limited grocery options and occasional event-related traffic challenges. Particularly well-suited for young professionals and empty nesters who value urban energy and are willing to pay a premium for walkability and downtown amenities rarely found elsewhere in the region.
Medical professionals discover ideal housing in Quail Creek, where rental communities provide quick access to INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center without the institutional feel of hospital-adjacent properties. The neighborhood offers a surprising oasis of calm despite proximity to Northwest Expressway's commercial corridor. Unlike downtown apartments, most rentals include both covered parking and generous storage – features particularly valuable during Oklahoma's extreme weather ranging from summer heat to winter ice storms. The nearby Quail Creek Golf & Country Club provides beautiful views from many units, while the neighborhood's generous green space creates walking opportunities beyond concrete sidewalks. For best value, consider properties on the eastern edge near Meridian, where slightly older communities offer comparable square footage at significantly lower prices than newer developments.
