City Guide for Port St. John, FL

"Port St. John For Tomorrow," a motto coined by the far-seeing residents.

Port St. John is a small town on the banks of the Indian River and is about an hour's drive from Orlando, the East Coast home of Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. It is part of the Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Census statistics put the population at around 12,267, but Port St. John is a small area, less than four square miles total, so people are packed in there pretty well. It's also very close to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center and is within 10 or 15 miles of the Space Coast Regional Airport, so keep in mind the airplanes flying overhead at all hours if you're planning on moving here. What to keep in mind when looking for condos in Port St. John, FL

Finding condos for rent in Port St. John is almost no different than renting an apartment in a big complex. The real difference is the ownership. Condos are owned by individuals within the same building. However, apartments in a large complex are owned by a single landlord or property management group.

Sometimes the price of condos in Port St. John may prove cheaper. The owners are often moving onto a new home or leaving the city and just need someone to cover the costs. Apartment complexes are designed to deal with tenant issues, make repairs, and care for the property. Condo owners will still deal with repairs and upkeep but may need more time to address a problem, especially if they don’t live nearby. However, condo owners have a more vested interest in the property and keeping their tenants happy to reduce turnover.

Choose the best condos for rent in Port St. John that meet your wishlist for budget, amenities, and layout. You probably won’t notice the difference between the condos and apartments you tour.
