City Guide
Woodland Hills Warner Center, Los Angeles
Woodland Hills is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the San Fernando Valley. Not only is Woodland Hills home to Warner Center, a booming, mixed-use business district, but it also has a great valley location just north of the Santa Monica mountains and east of Calabasas. There’s an impressive mix of stunning hillside homes in southern Woodland Hills and luxury apartments surrounding Warner Center. Renting in Woodland Hills is a great choice for Warner Center professionals or families with children. While commuting to most parts of LA would take well over an hour, there’s plenty to see and do in the valley’s unofficial downtown.

Most Woodland Hills apartments are located around Warner Center, a master-planned community that’s currently home to many healthcare, financial, and professional services companies. But the long-term vision for Warner Center is far more ambitious than just a business park, and this transformation is already well underway. Warner Center aims to be one of LA’s premier transit hubs, making it a perfect place to live for not just Warner Center employees, but other LA commuters as well. The Woodland Hills apartment complexes near Warner Center are new and luxuriously appointed. Warner Center renters are just an elevator ride away from shops, dining, and Warner Center Park, a great green space that’s right in the middle of all the action. Rents here continue to rise as more young professionals discover the valley’s urban core.

South of the 101, you’ll discover a different housing experience than bustling Warner Center. The streets between Ventura Blvd and Mulholland Drive are filled with sprawling hillside homes. While young renters are attracted to chic studios to the north, larger and more established families love the privacy and space of renting a Woodland Hills home. Renting in southern Woodland Hills means you’re closer to the prestigious Woodland Hills Country Club and highly-rated Woodland Hills Elementary School. And with plenty of convenient shopping at Target, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s on Ventura Blvd, you can better avoid the mall traffic on Topanga Canyon Blvd.

Traffic headaches aside, there’s no denying the value that Westfield Topanga mall brings to the Woodland Hills community. The newly opened outdoor mall The Village now seamlessly connects Warner Center and Westfield Topanga. A shuttle will transport you between the three destinations, which is bringing the community one step closer to fulfilling its master-planned vision. For a change of shopping scenery, you can always head west to The Commons at Calabasas for even more variety. Between the three major malls, you’ll find everything you need from big box stores to luxury boutiques and fine dining to fast casual restaurant options.

It’s an exciting time to rent in Woodland Hills, especially in Warner Center apartments. As the community continues to grow, more shops, employers, and transit options come to the area. There’s already a Warner Center stop for the Orange Line that runs to North Hollywood, but city leaders have discussed the potential for future light rail lines to the valley as well. As some renters start to leave cramped LA studios and explore newer Woodland Hills apartment complexes, rents will continue to rise. Renting in Warner Center now while construction is still underway is a great way to get in at a lower price plus get your pick of new complexes. Besides, there’s no better way to admire all the urban progress than from the comfort of your new luxury apartment.
