THE HOUSE AND YARD:
This beautiful Victorian, built in 1850, is known by the locals as "The Dickinson Estate” and is a timepiece for the period. There are 2 other apartments in the house. The house sits on Farmland.
The apartment has a lot of natural sunlight and hardwood floors through out. There is a large, open, central hallway, a single bath with a tub, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. There is a large front porch that most tenants use 3 seasons. There is parking for 2 cars and laundry on site.
The property offers lots and lots of trails, a pond, and it connects to Pisgah State Park at the very back of the 53 acres on Farmland. Inquire about Farming here!
For your horses, there is a five stall barn (see pics), for 3 horses max, and about five open acres of fields. Gardeners/Farmers are welcome!
Located in Winchester, NH 03470. Easy commute. The house is 15 minutes to Brattleboro VT, 20 minutes to Keene NH and 40 minutes to Northampton MA.
The property abuts Pisgah State Park-20 square miles of wilderness preserve. Hiking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing right out your backdoor.
The property is situated on 53 acres with a 3 acre private pond, an apple orchard, and fields of wildflowers fed by many hidden in-ground springs. The woods surrounding the property are home to deer, red fox, and an occasional flock of turkeys. Great blue herons, bald eagles, red tailed hawks have all been spotted here.
There are lilacs, roses and peonies along with a variety of other perennials, and asparagus and rhubarb patches. Gardeners are welcome as these gardens are in need of regular care. The Ashuelot River is just across the street.The porches are welcoming and in need of rockers. You can’t help but relax on them, especially with the soft sounds of the river in the background. Eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner off any of the porches is a fun option.
HAVE HORSES?
There are about 5 acres of open field behind the house where the 5 stall horse shed-row barn (see pics). We are open to three horses max being boarded here with two stalls being used for tack, hay, and other supplies. The barn rental is separate from the apartment rent.
