Welcome to the Apartment List October 2025 Rent Report for Kissimmee, FL. Currently, the overall median rent in the city stands at $1,431, after falling 0.7% last month. Prices are now down 3.6% year-over-year. Read on to learn more about what’s been happening in the Kissimmee rental market and how it compares to trends throughout the broader Orlando metro area and the nation as a whole.
The median rent in Kissimmee fell by 0.7% over the course of September, and has now decreased by a total of 3.6% over the past 12 months. Kissimmee’s rent growth over the past year has has fallen behind both the state (-1.3%) and national averages (-0.8%).
Nine months into the year, rents in Kissimmee have fallen 2.6%. This is a slower rate of growth compared to what the city was experiencing at this point last year: from January to September 2024 rents had increased 0.0%.
If we expand our view to the wider Orlando metro area, the median rent is $1,541 meaning that the median price in Kissimmee ($1,431) is 7.1% lower than the price across the metro as a whole. Metro-wide annual rent growth stands at -1.9%, above the rate of rent growth within just the city.

Apartment List has released Kissimmee’s results from the third annual Apartment List Renter Satisfaction Survey. This survey, which drew on responses from over 45,000 renters nationwide, provides insight on what states and cities must do to meet the needs of the country’s 111 million renters.
"Kissimmee renters expressed general satisfaction with the city overall," according to Apartment List. "However, ratings varied greatly across different categories, indicating that even though renters love Kissimmee, some aspects can be better."
Key Findings in Kissimmee include the following:
Kissimmee renters gave their city a B overall.
The highest-rated categories for Kissimmee were state and local taxes and quality of local schools, which both received grades of A.
The areas of concern to Kissimmee renters are commute time (F) and public transit (D).
Kissimmee did relatively well compared to other cities in Florida like Miami (C+), Jacksonville (B-), Orlando (C) and Saint Petersburg (B-).
Kissimmee did relatively well compared to cities nationwide, including Los Angeles (C+), Tucson (D) and Indianapolis (C+).
The top rated cities nationwide for renter satisfaction include Scottsdale, AZ, Irvine, CA, Boulder, CO and Ann Arbor, MI. The lowest rated cities include Tallahassee, FL, Stockton, CA, Dayton, OH, Detroit, MI and Newark, NJ.
