Remarkable apartment in a historic building with neighbors including legacy businesses like Malaprops Bookstore/Café and Woolworth Walk. The Castanea building was constructed in the 1920s and was restored and modernized in the early 2000s, maintaining original details such as oak and tile flooring and original wood doors with transom windows.

This apartment's very spacious entry foyer features original hexagon tile floors seen throughout much of the building. The open plan living room, dining, and kitchen have a wall of windows overlooking Haywood St. The modern kitchen offers great work and storage space, and appliances include the dishwasher, microwave, new counter-depth French door refrigerator, new gas range, and new wine refrigerator. In-unit laundry is off of the kitchen - the washer and dryer will remain for tenant use but these appliances will not be repaired or replaced by the owner.

The primary bedroom suite has a private balcony with eastern city and mountain views, a large walk-through closet, and an en suite bathroom. The en suite has attractive tile, a walk-in shower, and large vanity. The second bedroom and the second full bathroom are off of the hall.
