One of Washington Terrace's former mayors, Mark Allen, had to be elected on the roll of a die when his election resulted in a tie.

Situated in the northern part of Utah, Washington Terrace is located about midway between Salt Lake City and Brigham City. Close to Farmington Bay, part of Great Salt Lake, the city lies in Weber County and had a population of over 9,000 inhabitants as of the 2010 census.
