City GuideFinneytown

"Still her spell is on me, an' her music's in my ears. / Still her beauty shines to me, although it be through tears, / Still my heart goes back to her across the gap of years, / Back unto the scenes of old Ohio." Anonymous poem, published in The Ohio Magazine in 1907

Just north of Cincinnati, you'll find Finneytown, Ohio. Encompassing 4.0 square miles, you'll find over 12,000 people in this town. Why do so many people would chose to live in a town this small? It's because Finneytown is just about darn near perfect. There's plenty to do, it's affordable, there's almost no crime (18 percent lower than the rest of Ohio), the education system is pretty good, and even employment opportunities are available. Really, the only thing about Finneytown is the poor air quality, and the apartment search. With so many people, it can be hard to find apartments, but don't worry, we've got a few tricks up our sleeves.

Things You Need to Know Before Moving to the Big O

What You'll Need

Money of course. Because space is so limited, and Finneytown is so perfect, finding an apartment to rent can be a competitive sport. If you're interested in this awesome little city, you'll need to bring everything with you to close a deal on the spot, since housing is limited. Talk with your landlord about month to month rates and security deposits too, this will unveil any surprises that might be awaiting you later on.

Commuting

Getting around shouldn't be too hard since the town is so small, but you might face some traffic issues. If you aren't employed around the Finneytown neighborhood, you might want to test drive your commute.

Town History

Finneytown has an interesting history, and the locals are proud of it. The Pringles potato chips were named after Pringles Street, and Rod Serling, the creator of _the Twilight Zone, _lived in Finneytown in the 1950s.

Neighborhoods

North: The north part of town will have you surrounded by restaurants, public transportation options, and coffee shops.

East and West: You'll also find plenty to do in the western area of Finneytown, like the Brentwood Plaza Shopping Center and the Wyoming and Hartwell Golf Clubs to the east.

South: The only quiet part of the city is south and the center. But no matter where you move to, you'll never be very far away from amenities.

Life in Finneytown
You'll find plenty of shopping areas and dining places all over. Public transportation goes just about anywhere, so don't sweat it if you don't have a car. There are five different parks for you to stroll through and enjoy the outdoors, as well as inside activities like art museums.

Finneytown is the perfect place for you to settle down in, and enjoy the city life. Rental houses are few and far between, and will cost both your arm and your leg, and maybe even the name of your first born, but it's because there's no greater place to live. If you find an opportunity to live in a great town like this, seize it.
