Prices and are now up 4.3% year-over-year. The median rent in Portsmouth rose by 0.3% over the course of September, and has now increased by a total of 4.3% over the past 12 months. Portsmouth’s rent growth over the past year has has outpaced both state (1.2%) and national (-0.8%) averages.
Nine months into the year, rents in Portsmouth have risen 1.3%. This is a slower rate of growth compared to what the city was experiencing at this point last year: from January to September 2024 rents had increased 3.7%.
