The first settler in Avon Park was actually a Connecticut man named Oliver Martin Crosby, who moved to the Avon Park area to study wildlife in 1884. People followed him, and eventually, they called their town Lake Forest. Eventually, someone convinced Crosby that the area felt a lot like Stratford-Upon-Avon, so they renamed the city Avon Park. The name stuck, and it's still what we call Avon Park today.
Avon Park is a lovely town located on the Everglades in Florida. It's been home to some pretty notable residents, in addition to its original settler. The town has been home to such people as Hal McRae, an MLB hall-of-famer, Flash Gordon, an MLB pitcher, and Christian historian Conrad Henry Moehlman. The reason the town has been such a draw for so many people is that it's a beautiful, natural place. Located on swampy Florida terrain, people in Avon Park have access to many small lakes, as well as nearby state parks and even the ocean, about an hour away. If you're interested in living in a warm Florida suburb that stays sunny most of the year, but that also offers access to a bunch of different landscapes, consider looking for apartment homes in Avon Park. In addition to a bunch of great suburban amenities, the city also has an excellent selection of rental apts. View Avon Park City Guide
Avon Park apartments with garages are sometimes more expensive than other options. However, they may make more financial sense in the long run.
Weather, break-ins, and daily struggles to find a space can take a toll financially and physically. Remember that even cities in mild climates experience issues like salt air, tornadoes, hail, falling branches from storms, and other issues.
It’s also possible to score an auto insurance reduction if you park in a garage. Ask your insurance provider about any deals or discounts that could trim money off the cost of your monthly bill.
Before signing a lease, ask the landlord or property manager about any restrictions on garage use. It’s important to know if there are enough spaces for tenants and visitors and what happens if the garage is full. If you’re moving into an apartment inside a home, ask about any conditions on its use and if storage is allowed.
