Founded in 1836, Sylvania is an old city with just under 6 square miles of quaint, small-town living. Convenience, affordability, nearby wilderness, nice golf courses, and just a 10-mile drive to Toledo make this place a great, laid back place for weary renters to settle down. The Sylvania Country Club also has one of the best swim teams in Ohio. So, as you can see, it's all wonderful family-oriented living with lots of local activities to keep the kids busy and the soccer moms happy.

In local apartment communities, amenities are usually more for convenience than luxury. A laundry facility or in-unit washer and dryer is common. Parking is never hard to find. And, with on-site maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal, you can live life with a little less worry.

If you're looking for a pet friendly apartment rental, then be prepared for some legwork. While cat friendly apartments are pretty easy to come by, dog friendly rentals will be a challenge. To find yourself a home with dogs allowed, scour through local classifieds, drive around in search of FOR RENT signs, and chat up your neighbors until research or word-of-mouth allows you to come across a landlord that loves dogs as much as you.
