Northern Arizona University faculty appreciate Country Club Estates' proximity to campus without the undergraduate party atmosphere. The neighborhood's elevated position provides cooler summer temperatures than Phoenix while offering spectacular San Francisco Peaks views from many rental properties. Unlike central Flagstaff rentals, most properties include off-street parking – essential during winter snow emergencies when street options become limited by plowing operations.
Mountain living shines in this pine-forest enclave bordering the Coconino National Forest's trail network. Renters appreciate cabin-style units with wood-burning fireplaces but contend with frequent elk crossings slowing morning commutes. The Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course's zip lines draw weekend thrill-seekers who overflow parking areas.
