Fort Mitchell, KY is well-steeped in American history! This little city was the Last Bastion of the 'Defense of Cincinnati' during the Civil War!

Fort Mitchell, KY is a 4th-class city in Kenton County, Kentucky and covers a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.0 km2), with a census-counted population of 8,207. The site was an extremely important Union Army fortification during the Civil War, being one of twenty-three forts built to protect Cincinnati from the Confederate armies. Cincinnati was in a prominent position as a river harbor and with their meat packing and manufacturing factories, was a worthy prize for enemy invasions. Today Fort Mitchell is a quiet place to live and work and the people have a genuine love for the 'town'.
