Today it is home to Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Y-12 National Security Complex, and a large federal contractor workforce, which means steady, well-paid neighbors and a rental market that never really softens. That heritage also left the town with a large stock of small, efficient mid-century homes -- the same footprint as this one. What sets this property apart is that the renovation went past "flip beige" and gave it a real point of view. Location highlights Minutes to ORNL, Y-12, UCOR, and the Oak Ridge corridor employers Close to Melton Hill Lake and the Clinch River for kayaking, fishing, and rowing Haw Ridge and the North Boundary Greenway for mountain biking and trail running Short drive to Norris Lake and the Museum of Science and Energy Downtown Oak Ridge for groceries, restaurants, and the farmers market About 30 minutes to Knoxville and Turkey Creek shopping- the Great Smoky Mountains are roughly an hour out Quiet streets, low crime, and strong public schools
