Minnetrista is a city with an appropriate name. Meaning "crooked water" in the language of the Dakota people, the largely rural region is home to an unusual number of twisting, bending rivers and lakes.
Minnesota is known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes. At first glance Minnetrista may appear to be home to at least several thousand of them. At times it's hard to tell if there's more coastline or solid land. Between the bays, lakes and rivers there's plenty enough water sport to go around during the relatively short but active summers.
