Hemlock: Homes in this area are mostly smaller townhouses or apartments. Although it's not right in the center, the Mandalay Village Marketplace Shopping Center makes it fairly convenient.

Life in Port Hueneme

One of the main things that brings people to Port Hueneme is its beach. Its gorgeous golden sands stretch for roughly a mile. There are also communal grills and picnic tables, making it the perfect spot for some al fresco dining.

You'll find some awesome town events happening in Port Hueneme, which really help to foster a great sense of community. The Hueneme Beach Festival is an annual event and is one of the biggest of the season. This two-day festival includes live music, sand sculpting, fairground rides and food. Other notable events include the annual Easter Egg Hunt and the Copa Cabana Beach Soccer Tournament.
