Cary, Illinois has many great things to offer its residents, and there's true beauty on each corner. However, this beauty certainly does come at a price. If you ever get tired of its own reserved luxury, Cary is a mere 44 miles from Chicago, making it easy to run into Chi-town for shopping, entertainment and employment opportunities. All the benefits of Chicago, without all the drawbacks. Just a 45-minute drive or leisurely Metra train ride away from the big city, the charming village of Cary is the hidden gem of Chicagoland. Most of the current residents in Cary prefer living there to the city because of Cary's small-town charm, plus the average cost of living in Cary is more reasonable. Don't worry, though, pizza lovers. You can stay in Cary and enjoy a whole pie for an average of just $8!

Buy or Rent?

The good news is that the average cost of houses is still a bit lower than it would have been 10 years ago and there are several nice, reasonably-priced houses for sale throughout Cary. Anyone who has plans to purchase a house in the near future should start looking right now. The value of Cary houses has gone up a few percent over the past year, and the real estate experts expect the value to continue to rise.

There are several rental apartments available in Cary, Illinois, but finding one isn't always easy. The most common rental apartments are one bedroom apartments. If you find a home for rent, you might be able to get a discount on rent if you agree to do some property maintenance. Renting an apartment in Cary, Illinois will have to be carefully considered. You should expect to pay extra if you intend to bring a pet. Most of the available apartments are in large apartment complexes where you'll live in close association with your neighbors. The Neighborhoods

As a relatively small town, there are only two truly distinct neighborhoods in Cary right now. However, regardless of which you choose to live in, you'll be glad you chose Cary.

Cary Park District: Known as a highly residential neighborhood, the Cary Park district has plenty of community activities and amenities that will keeps locals entertained. The area sometimes has a home for rent.

Sienna Point: Sienna Point was established as a townhouse community. It's a nice, clean safe neighborhood with several high quality 2 and 3 bedroom rentals available.
