Moving to South San Jose Hills

Anyone interested in starting a search for apartments in South San Jose Hills is in luck! It's a primarily residential area, so there are heaps of house rentals, from studio apartments for rent to full condos for rent. Once you've decided how much space you're going to need, it's a good idea to make appointments to see a variety of homes. You can look at stand-alone houses as well as small apartment complexes to get a feel for what's out there. The good news is that homes here are, on average, quite a bit cheaper than the rest of California, so you're already ahead in the running.

What You'll Need

Moving to South San Jose Hills should be easy! Because there are so many properties available, it's basically just a waiting game to find the right one. You should allow four to six weeks to hunt for a place -- that way you won't be frazzled and tempted to jump on something that just isn't right. With a little patience and diligence, you can certainly find exactly what you're looking for and settle on a place within your price range in no time. You can help speed up the hunt by having all the necessary paperwork gathered before you meet with landlords -- you'll want copies of your ID, a credit report, bank statements, pay stubs, letter of reference, etc., all compiled in a folder and ready to hand over for approval.

Neighborhoods in South San Jose Hills

South San Jose Hills covers only 1.5 square miles! They sure do pack a lot into this tiny town, however. Here are some of the more notable landmarks.

Fairplex: This area is located on the most northeastern border and is home to the L.A. County Fair and a bunch of other events throughout the year. It's also home to the Los Angeles County Railroad Museum.

South Hills Country Club: This area runs along Citrus Avenue, and there are a number of neighboring parks as well: Shadow Oak Park, Creekside Park and Gringrich Park. It's a beautiful and peaceful area.

Pomona Freeway: Also referred to as State Route 60, this highway runs just south of the community and is one of the major veins of transportation for the area. Amtrak does run through the area as well, but anyone familiar with Los Angeles knows that people don't get anywhere without a car here.

Living in South San Jose Hills

South San Jose Hills is tucked into the Transverse Mountain Range, just far enough inland from the Pacific that you don't get much of a sea breeze here. The climate is pretty hot, and even the winters don't see much of a temperature dip in the daytime, but the evenings are cool and refreshing.
