Most of the homes here are detached houses, but there are a few townhouses and apartment complexes in and around this city, as well. The main apartment complex is Nuestra Senora. Most of the other complexes, such as MetroPointe and Finisterra Apartments, are just outside the city limits.

Know How Many Bedrooms You Need

Guadalupe Neighborhoods

This city features about 0.8 square miles, so yeah, your options might be a little limited. But that's okay. Quality over quantity, right? Plus, the small size makes this city extremely walkable, which is impressive for a place in the Phoenix area. Check out what's in each part of Guadalupe so you can make sure you move to an area that suits your needs.

North Guadalupe: Want to live within walking distance of a major mall? Then pick this area for your next home. It's across the street from Arizona Mills Mall, which features dozens of outlet stores, eateries, and a movie theater.

South Guadalupe: If you'd prefer to live near several restaurants that are known for being good, check this area out. It's home to Loreto's Mexican Food, San Diego Bay Restaurant, and Del Yaqui.

East Guadalupe: If you want to live a little closer to Tempe, this part of Guadalupe should suit you. This area features Biehn Colony Park and Family Dollar Store.

West Guadalupe: If you need to travel throughout the Phoenix area, living close to Interstate 10 is a big deal. West Guadalupe happens to be right next to this freeway, making it easy for you to get to downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler, Tempe, and pretty much every other suburb near here.

Living in Guadalupe

This city has a great community spirit, with plenty of neighbors who know each other. However, it's mostly residential, which means you will have to leave the city itself to do much of anything. Of course, there are a handful of restaurants here, as well as Mercado Mexico, where you can get handcrafted items without having to cross the border.

But the good news is that this city is in a great location. It's right next to Tempe, which is home to a major university, hundreds of restaurants and bars, and of course, great shopping opportunities. In addition, right across Interstate 10 are two well-known things to do. One is Rustler's Rooste, which is a steakhouse that offers amazing views, live music, and even a slide inside! It's located next to Arizona Grand Resort, which features a water park for guests. And all this is nestled within South Mountain, which is a favorite among locals who like to hike.

If you drive less than two miles south to Ray Road, you'll see a huge selection of major stores and restaurants, spanning both sides of the freeway. If this isn't enough for you, go 15 minutes east to Chandler Fashion Center for great shopping. Now you might be starting to see why Guadalupe definitely has a prime location going for it!
