The prefabricated home gave birth to Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Back in 1951, the Danherst Corporation began constructing prefab homes where the community stands today. Since U.S. Steel provided money for the project, the area was named after Benjamin Fairless, the president of the company back then.
