How much is rent for an apartment with a garage in James City?
How many apartments with garages are available for rent in James City?
Renamed in honor of Reverend Horace James, an Army chaplain who headed the Trent River Settlement in the 1860s, James City was the largest refuge in North Carolina for black men and women during the Civil War period.
James City is a census-designated place (CDP) as opposed to being recognized as an official city or town. Located in Craven County, the town boasted a population of 5,899 in the 2010 U.S. Census. It is located on the North Carolina coast, approximately halfway between Wilmington and Elizabeth City. Despite its name, James City is essentially a neighborhood of New Bern, to the point that many of the businesses within town use New Bern descriptors in their names, even when located in James City. The thin strip of land that makes up James City incorporates the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport to the north and is between Highway 70 to the west and the Neuse River to the east. See more
James City apartments with garages are sometimes more expensive than other options. However, they may make more financial sense in the long run.
Weather, break-ins, and daily struggles to find a space can take a toll financially and physically. Remember that even cities in mild climates experience issues like salt air, tornadoes, hail, falling branches from storms, and other issues.
It’s also possible to score an auto insurance reduction if you park in a garage. Ask your insurance provider about any deals or discounts that could trim money off the cost of your monthly bill.
Before signing a lease, ask the landlord or property manager about any restrictions on garage use. It’s important to know if there are enough spaces for tenants and visitors and what happens if the garage is full. If you’re moving into an apartment inside a home, ask about any conditions on its use and if storage is allowed.
