Welcome to LaGrange, a city about as old as Georgia itself. It's a fine place to live, chock-full of that small town charm that makes southern living so great. So, read on to learn all you need to know about living and renting like a local LaGranger.

LaGrange is a beautiful little city in one of the prettiest parts of Georgia. This community has a thriving downtown, a surprisingly pleasant college crowd, and many lovely neighborhoods. The thing that really makes it great, though, is the atmosphere and culture felt when you drive through the local neighborhoods of old country homes and historic houses.

There are a few pre-Civil War houses still standing, thanks to some very crafty confederate women who knew how to work that famous southern hospitality. This southern hospitality continues to be a way of life, with some of the friendliest and most welcoming neighbors you can find. It's the kind of small-town living where neighbors look out for each other, and that can go a long way.

Although there isn't much in the way of retail or fine dining, there isn't much traffic or suburban-sameness either. Rather than shopping, most residents here just enjoy each others company. There are also some great fishing spots at the nearby West Point Lake, which draws bass fishermen from all over the state.

Apartments for rent are somewhat scarce in LaGrange. There are a few inexpensive apartments in small brick buildings near campus, as well as some house conversions that make for some very quaint apartment homes. There are also quite a few duplexes, triplexes, and houses for rent, often at lower prices than you can find in apartment communities.
