Living in Lago Vista

The Lago Vista lifestyle is very relaxed and friendly. While nearly everyone drives or takes the bus for getting around the Austin region, many will be jogging, cycling or out walking what locals refer to as the 'fun-hills' in the area. Watch out for golf carts along the road too, because many of the residents prefer to tool about town in these eco-friendly little vehicles.On any day, enjoy jokes and food with locals at the American Girl Grill, Wok 'N' Grill, and Latte Vista Cafe. When the weather permits, you will find most of your friends and neighbors out on Lake Travis boating, fishing and enjoying a host of water sports. Boat parties are still a thing too, so make some friends with boats. People meet in a cove, tie their boats together and drop anchor for a few hours of food, fun and swimming! Annual events, like the Cajun Cook-Off and La Primavera Bike Race, add to the fun.
