July 2014 marks the 40th anniversary of Fairlawn's Croghan Park, that is home to a War of 1812 encampment. Reenactments as well as period demonstrations and music are a part of this celebration including teaching attendees to march. Uh-Ten-Hut! You can even learn to handle a musket.
Founded as a hamlet back in 1891, Fairlawn, Ohio, started when the Northern Ohio Railroad was constructed, gaining a mill, blacksmith, general store and other shops by 1908; it became a city in 1970. A suburb of Akron located in Summit County, Fairlawn, Ohio has a population of just over 7,400 as of the 2010 census. It's a part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical area. Interstate 77 bisects the community and offers easy travel into Akron, just eleven minutes away. View Fairlawn City Guide
Finding condos for rent in Fairlawn is almost no different than renting an apartment in a big complex. The real difference is the ownership. Condos are owned by individuals within the same building. However, apartments in a large complex are owned by a single landlord or property management group.
Sometimes the price of condos in Fairlawn may prove cheaper. The owners are often moving onto a new home or leaving the city and just need someone to cover the costs. Apartment complexes are designed to deal with tenant issues, make repairs, and care for the property. Condo owners will still deal with repairs and upkeep but may need more time to address a problem, especially if they don’t live nearby. However, condo owners have a more vested interest in the property and keeping their tenants happy to reduce turnover.
Choose the best condos for rent in Fairlawn that meet your wishlist for budget, amenities, and layout. You probably won’t notice the difference between the condos and apartments you tour.
