Kingston Estates is a densely populated suburb sitting right outside Cherry Hill, New Jersey, in Camden County. It's a small community, but has the benefit of a great location, being close to Philadelphia while also being able to maintain that small town feel. It has a small community of about 5,685 people, according to the 2010 census. The town itself is little more than a mile and a half wide, and up until the census in 2010, it had been grouped together with another small suburb called Barclay. After the 2010 census, Barclay and Kingston Estates were officially separated into different entities.
The majority of the residents of Kingston Estates own rather than rent their properties. Apartment rentals in Kingston Estates are available, but renting a home seems to be a more affordable alternative. It is a highly residential area, so there aren't any condo rentals or luxury apartments for rent, but there are well-constructed high-rise one-bedroom apartments and small- to medium-sized homes. Rent tends to be lower here because of the community's small size and because it's further from Philadelphia than other larger more affluent areas, like Cherry Hill. It's very possible to find an apartment in Kingston Estates that has a reasonable rent with relatively little scouring of rental ads and classifieds, but due to the small size of the town, availability of these rentals may be more challenging.
Kingston Estates is a very small community that's not much more than a development, so it doesn't have any separate neighborhoods. There are mostly modest houses, and its small size makes nearly any area of Kingston Estates a quick drive to a number of major highways, like Route 70, I-295 and Routes 73 and 38. It's also about a half-hour from Kingston Estates to Philadelphia International Airport, making it convenient if you're flying in or having family come to visit.
Kingston Estates boasts a brand new library and the expansion of the Race Track Shopping Area. The Race Track area is a quick five-minute drive away and has attracted a lot of brand new businesses and shops. It also has a number of great restaurants, with new eateries opening up all the time. There's Kaminski Bar and Grill, Tutti Toscani by Lamberti, Ponzio's and Norma's Eastern Mediterranean to get you started. Some businesses in the area include Stein Mart, Jan's Boutique, Cutter's Mill Pet Store, Keswick Cycle and Potted Plant Flower Shoppe. In terms of parks, there's Challenge Grove Park, Evans Pond Wallworth and Pennypacker Park. Kingston Estates also has a great location for nightlife and day trips. Being only 20 minutes outside Philadelphia, you're only a quick drive away from tons of museums, sports complexes and theaters. Plus, if you head an hour east, you hit the Jersey Shore, where there are casinos, beaches and lots of good times waiting for you there as well.
