The city of Eastpointe has a higher than average number of people who take public transportation and the city center is only about 9 miles away from an Amtrak station in Detroit. Eastpointe is also conveniently located near I-94 and I-696, as well as major roads like Gratiot Avenue, 8 Mile Road (yes, like the movie starring Eminem) and 9 Mile Road.
