Apartments for Rent in Oak Hills Place, LA

What's it like to live in Perkins Highland?

Academic proximity shapes Perkins/Highland, where this Baton Rouge adjacent community offers housing options near Louisiana State University beyond purely undergraduate environments. Rental properties range from townhomes to single-family homes with more generous space than campus-adjacent options at competitive rates. The neighborhood provides excellent access to both university facilities and shopping along Perkins Road while maintaining separation from student-dominated areas. The area lacks the historic character of older Baton Rouge districts, featuring primarily contemporary architecture with functional designs. Especially appealing to graduate students, faculty, research professionals, and families connected to LSU who seek separation between academic and personal spaces while maintaining convenient access to university resources beyond purely undergraduate-focused rental markets typically featuring higher density and greater seasonal turnover affecting community stability throughout academic calendar cycles.
