Moving to Lake Tapps

You can find a beautiful home for rent in Lake Tapps. Most have large master bedrooms, walk-in closets, fireplaces, hardwood floors and fenced in yards. Some have up to seven bedrooms, so your guests never have to sleep on the couch! There are even rentals in the area near a community center, grocery stores and shops.

One-bedroom apartments for rent may be harder to find in the upscale town of Lake Tapps, but there are many apartments of all sizes in surrounding communities. The greatest selection can be found in nearby Puyallup. Riverside Park Apartments, River Trail Apartments, Addison Greens, Meridian Pointe and The Heights are some of the apartment complexes worth looking into.

Whether you're interested in spacious luxurious rental homes in Lake Tapps or a quaint studio apartment, you'll need proof of income.

Neighborhoods

Finding the right neighborhood for you is as easy as picking from a selection of top-notch areas. Check out the details below.

Bonney Lake: This neighborhood is southwest of the lake. Thian Thai Restaurant is very popular place to eat in the Bonney Lake neighborhood, offering a welcoming setting and ample portions of curries, pad Thai and other Thailand specialties. If all-American is your taste, try the Bonney Lake Tavern, a sports bar with plenty of local color.

Sumner: The Sumner area is home to the Whistle Stop Antique Mall. Described as "deceptively deep," this mall is stocked by more than 30 antique dealers and is well worth the visit.

Riverside: The Riverside Park Apartments offer one, two and three bedrooms. You'll have quick access to Highways 167, 410 and 512. If you're a walker, you'll be glad to know that this area has a WalkScore of 54 out of 100, with shops and parks close by.

Mill Pond: Mill Pond boasts one and two bedroom apartment homes at the top of Lakeland Hills, just a stone's throw from the Lake Tapps Shopping Center. This is the place to live if you like a spectacular view, a complimentary tanning spa and a fitness center. Retired seniors, in particular, should investigate the Mill Pond Apartments since they pride themselves on 24-hour emergency services and, as you know, Murphy's Law says that if you're well prepared, you won't need it!

Copper Creek: One-, two-, and three-bedroom units are just a few minute's drive from malls and grocery stores. Each apartment has a microwave, washer and dryer, walk-in closet, spa, pool and free covered parking.

Living in Lake Tapps

Lake Tapps is an ecological dream with saltwater and freshwater bodies, if you don't mind humidity and plenty of rain. If you're ready for some serious fishing, you'll find carp, small mouth bass, perch and tiger musky here. Lake Tapps is drained in the fall and brought back to recreational levels in the spring. During the off-season, enjoy the nearby parks, other recreational areas and festivals. Or better yet, take to the pools, spas or fitness centers that are part of renting an apartment in the Lake Tapps area.

If you're civic minded, join locals who are very active in the affairs of this remarkable area, especially issues involving water quality and shoreline attractiveness. They're interested in keeping the taxes to a minimum and having fewer restrictions on what property owners can do to maintain their land and homes with the objective of keeping the values of their properties where they should be. Residents take pride in their town and the appearance of their coastlines, bulkheads, docks, summer cabins, undeveloped creek front lots, and, of course, their own lovely properties.
