It's a perfect location for any modern-day mountain man or desert-wanderer, and the price tag is easily affordable. Rental rates start at $450 for cheap apartments in old remodeled houses. Small, brick apartment buildings house spacious one to three-bedroom apartments in the $500 - $900 range. There are some really nice duplexes for rent around town for less than a grand. And, rental homes vary greatly, from tiny one and two-bedroom houses for rent in the $500 - $700 range, to nice, big ranch homes in the $800 - $1,500 range.
You're not going to see a lot of luxury amenities around these parts. A few apartments feature the more practical amenities, such as parking and laundry facilities. Some rental properties come with BBQ areas and playgrounds. The most coveted amenities, however, are the views. Mountain views, river views, and lake views will inspire you to get your butt out the door each day and enjoy the true value of this part of California: the great outdoors.
