During the 1940s construction workers in Monona, Wisconsin accidentally cut into an old Indian burial mound! Monona, Wisconsin is technically a suburb of Madison, considered to be a part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical area. However, that doesn't mean that it's just some neighborhood where people that spend their time in Madison go to sleep when they're not at work or play. In fact, Monona has strong ties to its culture and history, and has a number of things to do, whether you're an outdoorsman, history buff, or someone who just likes having a good time. Monona started out as a village in the 1940s and 1950s, which eventually grew in population and geographical size, and by the 1970s, Monona became the place we know it today. Monona has about 7,500 residents, all of which enjoy calling this small Wisconsin town home. See more

What to keep in mind when looking for condos in Monona, WI

Finding condos for rent in Monona is almost no different than renting an apartment in a big complex. The real difference is the ownership. Condos are owned by individuals within the same building. However, apartments in a large complex are owned by a single landlord or property management group.

Sometimes the price of condos in Monona may prove cheaper. The owners are often moving onto a new home or leaving the city and just need someone to cover the costs. Apartment complexes are designed to deal with tenant issues, make repairs, and care for the property. Condo owners will still deal with repairs and upkeep but may need more time to address a problem, especially if they don’t live nearby. However, condo owners have a more vested interest in the property and keeping their tenants happy to reduce turnover.

Choose the best condos for rent in Monona that meet your wishlist for budget, amenities, and layout. You probably won’t notice the difference between the condos and apartments you tour.
