Moving to Baraboo
What to Expect
As you would expect, moving to such an awesome place costs a little money. The average rental rate is 5 percent higher than the rest of Wisconsin. But that's okay, it's a fair price to pay for all of the things Baraboo has to offer, and house rental rates always depend on the part of town and the size of your space, it's definitely possible to find cheaper, or more elaborate options.
When to Move
Timing your move can be tricky, if you move in the summer, you have to battle the extra population with all the tourists, but moving in the winter can cause problems too with snow and ice. Neighborhoods
Everywhere you go has something to do and see, but the northern part of town is more residential than other areas. Downtown: The Downtown area is where you can eat, shop and play. There's a Fair on the Square twice a year that attracts more than 8,000 people with live music, interactive entertainment, amazing food, and a farmer's market, not to mention all of the stuff they have for the kids.
West Baraboo: With a population of 1,414 residents, this area is booming. Located with 45 minutes from Madison, US Highway 12, and State Highway 33, this area is great to rent in if you have to commute outside the city.
