Withamsville, Ohio: Suburban sprawl meets rural charm, all within a stone's throw of some of the Midwest's finest strip malls.
Not only is it fun to pronounce, Withamsville, located in Clermont County to the east of Cincinnati, is a great place to rent an apartment. Convenient freeway access brings the best of Greater Cincinnati within an easy drive, but this small suburb is far enough outside the bustle of the downtown region that residents enjoy open skies, clean air and the occasional pungent whiff of a nearby cattle farm or sweet corn field.
Moving to Withamsville
Most apartments for rent in Withamsville are located in mid-size communities offering 1, 2 or 3-bedroom, ranch-style units. Other choices include multi-story townhouse rentals, and smaller complexes set among the rolling hills of this Eastern Cincinnati region. These apartment rentals afford great views and the feeling of open space, but are still conveniently located.
Withamsville is a small geographic slice of the Greater Cincinnati area, but it provides a thriving, well-tended rental market in a peaceful, scenic area. For larger complexes, focus your search on the area nearest to I-275 along Ohio Pike (State Route 125). Head east along Ohio Pike toward the hamlet of Amelia for apartment rentals with a more rural feel. Renters with furry friends will be happy to note that this area offers many pet-friendly apartments.
Living in Withamsville
Rental prices here are well below the Ohio average, primarily because of the relative remoteness of this area to the rest of the region. However, easy access to I-275 means Withamsville residents can be downtown in as little as 30 minutes. Despite its somewhat remote location in the Greater Cincinnati region, this area is connected to both the local Clermont County bus line, and Cincinnati's Metro service. Express routes to downtown are connected to a modern transportation center located next door in Union Township.
In fact, Withamsville residents are likely to find themselves in Union Township on a regular basis, drawn there by the extensive shopping and entertainment options. The unofficial "Restaurant Row" boasts a great majority of the fast food options available in the Midwest, all lined up neatly with their efficient, friendly drive-thrus on full display. Night owls, rejoice: many are open past midnight.
Shopping choices are almost endless, as well. In addition to the typical big-box offerings, Union Township features several unique shopping choices. Chief among these is Jungle Jim's, a vast, "international marketplace," and a destination in its own right. Shoppers come from hundreds of miles away to gaze upon the dizzying variety of international foods, hundreds of wine and beer varieties, and dozens of unique attractions. You might find shoppers resting on seats recovered from a retired 1964 Pan-Am airplane, or singing along to an animatronic band that once entertained guests on Coney Island.
